PRESS RELEASE

A citizen reported us that on January 24th 2002 Antonio Ricci, to show once more that the TG1 (Rai) manipulates the information, has ri-trasmitted a service of 1998 of Striscia the Notizia (Mediaset), MANIPOLATED IN ITS TURN, concerning the delivery of the containers to the victims of the Umbria earthquake (1997).

According to the report we received:
1) After the sisma of 1997 in Umbria and Marche, the voluntary service association "Prociv Arci" Sardinia, furnished more than 25 containers for Colfiorito (near Foligno), on a request of the Prime Minister: these containers, even though ready from the 10/27/97, were delivered to the families on the 11/2/97, because still lacking in electric energy.
2) During the operations of assembly of the furnishing, the volunteers of the "Prociv Arci" were interviewed by the TG5, which regularly broadcasted their testimonies.
3) Striscia la Notizia, first bradcasted a service of the TG1 concerning the ceremony of delivery of the containers, then interviewed a lady who declared to have returned the keys of her container right after the ceremony. However, the interviewer didn't ask the woman the reason of the keys returning. Moreover to strengthen the criticism to the TG1, Striscia showed a pair of containers without furnishing.
4) The containers were actually all furnished. The two or three shot by Striscia were deposit. That is why they were not furnished, but the correspondent never said it, as he never said that the delivery of the containers was subject to the diligence of Enel and not to the furnishing (as it was instead heavily pointed out);
5) In spite of the remonstrances and the releases of the "Prociv Arci" Sardinia to restore the truth, no correction came, neither from Canale 5 nor from Antonio Ricci. Rather, a Striscia collaborator called the president of "Prociv Arci" Sardinia, asking to forget about it.

Since the Striscia service was ri-broadcasted the January 24 last month, during the campaign of delegitimization of the TG1 (Rai), which certainly doesn't need to be defended by us, and since the par condicio, as far as we know, only exists when it does comfort who has the microphone, we consider equitable to list some "fakes" of Antonio Ricci.
1) Striscia la Notizia, which at the times of the tv program "Francamente me ne infischio" (Rai) denounced Adriano Celentano for hidden advertising, has never answered our request to do the same for Iva Zanicchi and "Ok, il prezzo è giusto" (Mediaset).
2) After having broadcasted several reports on the "cheat" of the fuel stations, reports criticized by us because the faces of the protagonists were hidden (therefore they could have also been actors), Striscia la Notizia interviewed us, censuring the 80% of our declarations: as widely shown in the www.antiplagio.org site.
3 On the one hand, Striscia la Notizia has fairly castigated Wanna Marchi (November 2001), advertised in little broadcasters, on the other hand (December 2001) has advertised with the "veline", the Gabibbo and the complicity of Pubblitalia (Mediaset) improbable "slimming" products based on Bach flowers, which has the same "power" of the Do Naisimento salt: THESE PRODUCTS HAD BEEN ALREADY ADVERTISED IN STRISCIA IN 1995. Not only: we remind you that Pubblitalia (Mediaset), in the last Christmas period, forced Ezio Greggio to advertize a book on the "eastern divination". On 1/3/2002 Antonio Ricci (Mediaset) forced Enzo Iacchetti to say that the 166 of Maurizio Pistocchi, advertised on Mediavideo (Mediaset), was a "freefone", while it costs beyond 3.000 lira per minute. Until February 5, Striscia advertised, on page 437 of Mediavideo (Mediaset), the 166 lines of quacks and lottery numbers sellers, with modes identical to those of Wanna Marchi. And to conclude, we also remember that Enzo Iacchetti (2/7/2002) used the term " meterological ", rather than meteorological.
It is not the first time that Antonio Ricci does not recognize the work of the voluntary service (the way he is now doing with the " Prociv Arci" ). In fact, also in the case of our complaint on Bach flowers, Striscia answered in scornful way. Is it because being powerful with the weak ones is easier? Or is it only more relaxing?

We conclude with the inheard words of the "Prociv Arci" Sardinia:
"Even the best ones can sometimes get wrong ". And the best ones are indeed the best when ... they can also ask excuses".
